Should I Show and not Tell?

Telling is this:
Joe is angry.

Showing anger could be this:
Joe bangs his fists against the wall.

Sometimes telling is simply enough.

Other times showing is more effective.

It really does depend on the context. It's usually best to consider which will work best.
